If you’re a pet owner who loves to travel, then you might have come across the struggle of finding pet-friendly accommodations. While there are options in the 6ix and other places, it could be said that there aren’t enough. But one Toronto hotel has always been keen on making it easy for those with a pet and now they’re taking it a step further with a new partnership.
The Canadian-based business, which launched in 2018, offers indoor dog litter boxes for small dogs. Most recently, it has teamed up with Toronto’s Kimpton Saint George Hotel to provide dogs with their own private ensuite, meant to add luxury and comfort for your pet.
The litter boxes have custom pee pads and are made of 100% recyclable plastic. It is intended to be a solution for small breeds who are unable to handle extreme weather or for situations where there is minimal access to outdoors.
“Bringing the Doggy Bathroom to Kimpton Saint George is another great step we’re taking to recognize the growing demographic of pet owning travellers,” said Nabeel Toubayly, General Manager, Kimpton Saint George in a press release. “The sleek and minimalist design of the Doggy Bathroom aligns perfectly with the design-centric focus of the Kimpton brand, creating a seamless inclusion to our list of services and amenities.”
The hotel will start having the Doggy Bathroom option from September 6 2022. Guests can either opt for the original (dogs weighing up to 20 pounds) or the Mini size (dogs under 10 pounds) at no extra charge.
You can also buy the original Doggy Bathroom starter kit ($219) or the Mini size ($189) for home through the hotel itself.
